Today in the Marble Palace in St. Petersburg opened an exhibition called "The Gates and doors." At the exhibition visitors will appreciate the work of more than 80 authors, among them: the work of Vereshchagin, A. Laktionov, I. Kabakov, Alexander Brodsky, A. Kulik, L. Borisov, A. Yakovlev. B. Yankilevsky, M. Roginsky, J. Alexander and others.

According to organizers, the images of gates and doors are rooted in art, they are the "input" in the scenic space of the picture or art object. Critics believe that the "classical picture" inherent in the open doors, but the works of other, non-objective type, boarded up and require different keys.
