The crosses, doves and Christian symbols are subtle, gracing the sides of the glasses. Some designs are a part of the lens.

The glasses come in a variety of styles suitable for men and women. They include fashion and sport sunglasses with design style names like Love, Angel, Light, Joy, Mercy and Spirit.

They are available in a range of colors and styles, such as a sport-classic look with functional wrap styling, sophisticated rimless and shield designs, trendy oversized looks and... for the fashion conscious... even models highlighted with a touch of sparkle at the temples.

Prices are generally under $40 online, though brick and mortar shops may charge more.

Sunglasses are perfect ways to express individuality. Christians say these new styles let them share their faith without having to say a word. People notice sunglasses and every time someone checks out a paid of these shades, they're getting a message of faith.

It's the same with Christian apparel, like Christian T-Shirts, hoodies and caps. Church scholars and theologians say its part of a growing movement sweeping evangelical Christianity called lifestyle evangelism, where everyday believers are taking advantage of the situations and places they go everyday to share their faith in non-confrontational ways.

Besides the clothing and the Christian sunglasses, Christian jewelry is also becoming popular. In the workplace and other professional settings, it's not always appropriate to wear a t-SHirt or casual attire. But a Christian ring or necklace goes well with almost any wardrobe and also makes a faith statement.

But it's the Christian sunglasses that seem to be setting the evangelical style this year. Watch for a pair at a beach or ski slope near you.
