Read my Manifesto of New Decadence, published on the site of geosymbolists http://moy-bereg.ru. But now we are on the site “Eksmo”. I see hypocrisy proud announcement:
In the publishing house “E'ksmo” a unique edition - the first exhaustive book, devoted to the person of new Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill "Patriarch Kirill: life and world view" was published.
It`s interesting, what does the patriarch think about banners with vampires located above the information about the book devoted to him. I think about atheism. The atheism in Russia is extremely strong. The Bolsheviks shot the priests. Now publishing houses of Russia, for example, "Eksmo" with books about evil kill in Russians all that still remained from belief. Vampires and witches are presented as characters of fantastic love stories. But in fact the most terrible is that next to the fabulous evil Christianity itself is a fairy tale. The similar refined atheism is extremely dangerous. As publishing house "Eksmo" propagandizes this atheism and puts it into practice, I have given this ideal current such name: «extremely destructive oriented aggressive atheism of "Eksmo"».
One more announcement on that site:

And I at once feel something not wrong that in these phrases.
The book about the soul? Does Victor Pelevin really know the truth about the soul? Greater, then, say, the priest? Мixture of Christianity and Buddhism. Mixture. What a disgusting word from the dictionary of aggressive atheism "Eksmo". … - And if it is the truth? – I thought. - Аnd did writer Victor Pelevin really decided to mix positions of world religions? To make blasphemy?
And "Eksmo" in the same advertising novel «T» offers:
...Include brains.
Well, I also have decided to include my brains. I have decided to retell and analyse the novel «T». And to try to answer some questions that are interesting to me.

This empty place. Here my retelling should be. I have written the contents of the first twenty pages and have stopped. Too much important remains lost while retelling. And still... I was interested in the novel «T». I have come to conclusion, that this is the best that have read from modern prose. I recommend it to everybody.
If about associations, I have two: Bulgakov and Salvador Dali. Bulgakov and Pelevin are theatricality related with the verbal fabric. Here the cognation of two writers is more on style. As for Dali... I see a kinship in spirit. I see the kinship of symbols of the Russian writer and the Spanish artist. I think Pelevin is Dali in modern Russian literature:
- As on the decline of time the Lord come out Three together To sing about the destiny of the creation which have made a full circle. Cemetery of the museum cemetery stretches behind a vacant lot, And after a long practice becomes just the meadow. The ancient enemy of mankind comes to swing the rights, And suddenly understands with melancholy, that it is umpossible to begin. The meadow is transformed into the ground from which grass grows. Then disappears everybody, who can call them so. Right will be forgotten, and the left will disappear. Here because of technical reasons failure is possible in the song. But it is sung enough. And something behind it waits. Not placed in a verse and it is rhymed only with itself... Viktor Pelevin.
As the geosymbolist, I shall note a purple eye of a horse in the end of the novel «T», - the most important symbol of the novel, the symbol of incomprehensibility of understandable. That incomprehensibility by which pictures of Dali of the Distance are filled. What do reviewers write about Pelevin? Dmitry Bykov - gzt.ru and Vadim Nesterov - gazeta.ru.
…Pelevin's new novel is a book in a genre « now I wrote the novel ». One publishing house has started a new scale superproject – the novel about reconciliation of Tolstoy with church. This publishing house has employed a brigade of popular authors, but crisis has begun. The project has been closed. … Pelevin is not the strongest thinker. Pelevin is not a philosopher, but a sophist, the remarkable destroyer of other philosophical systems. … Pelevin's New novel is certainly bad as a novel… … it is essentially new literature in which the reader is suggested to consume not any ready dish, but components in turn … Synthesis is not present … …The skeleton is not important in the book. Meat is important. As in a peach the pulp is important. And not the stone. Dmitry Bykov. At once I shall object mister Bykov. In any book meat is not important. The skeleton is important. The pulp of a peach is not important. But not the stone. The trunk of that tree on which these peaches grow is important. Any peaches without a trunk are senseless. In the novel «T» the trunk is present. The trunk is the most powerful. It consists of two bound trunks:
Trunk, as the search for truth in the structure of the universe.
Trunk as search for the God.
Why does Dmitry Bykov sees only peaches in the novel? And does not see two bound trunks? Maybe, because the trunks here are special. Trunks exist as it in a projection. They consist not of postulates, and questions. And answers to these questions – questions as.
As for the trunk of the first that is searches of true in a structure of the universe. After the first meeting of the count «T» with some Ariel, much seems to become clear. It turns out that over the lower tier, where the count lives, tier of adventures created by fantasies of Ariel and his comrades, there is a higher tier, where Ariel and his comrades live themselves. It is constantly proved to the Count during the novel. Count does not lice it. He tries to find the validity over granted. In the end of the novel, in my opinion, other truth also opens to the hero. But this truth, consists not from exclamatory, and question marks. And each question assumes both the answer, and its absence:
- But now it`s time to go home. - But at first you should give a name to this house, - the horse suddenly said turning back. - It is impossible, - T answered, That`s the matter. - Why? – the horse said. Maybe it is impossible to describe, but you can give the name to it. - For example. - The term in my opinion must be Russian-Latin to scow succession of civilization of the third Rome to the first Rome. So we shall kill two Ariel Edmundoviches. How do you like the wordcombination «Optina Pustyn», the Count. - But where is the latin language here? - Why? The word «Optina» is originated from the latin verb «orgage» that means «to choose». It points to the endless row of possibilities. And «Pustyn» is the emptiness.How many meanings are opened here. - I don`t like it, - «T» said. - Why – the horse took offence. If I were you. I would jump on my feet in the cart and cry: «On, yes, «Optina Pustyn». It is the window, opened to all sides. It can`t be, but it is. The horse was walking, having turned its head to «T» and the cart began to mace a wide circle. - This window is I – it continued sparkling its purple eye. I am the place where the Universe exists, where life and death, space and time, my body and bodies of all other participants of the performance are, though if to investigate, there is nothing at all in it.

As for the trunk of the second… Trunk as searches of the God. Initially for the count «T» gods are Ariel and all those authors that write it. Ruling acts the count, they constantly prove their authority above him. But the squalor of creators means squalor of the creation itself. And count «T» tries to find the God above Gods. And maybe someone writes the Ariel? Who there is, more above? Maybe, 'Deity-hermaphrodite'? Or again a brigade of unworthy creations of writers? So, we must look even higher ... And if there still nothing is visible. If above and around it is emptiness … It is necessary to search. Well, the emptier is the emptiness, the fullier this emptiness may turn out. In the text of the novel «T» it is often said: the 'Deity-hermaphrodite'. And a lot of disputable is there in the novel. But... Pelevin searches on an admissible side near to world religions. It is engaged in «God-seeking». God-seeking is one of the basic lines of geosymbolism:
… There always was a simplified form of belief which was called to as God-seeking. It is now dead. Geosymbolists assure, that searches near to world beliefs, in particular, near christianity, are simply necessary. Variants of great near the great do not belittle great at all. I shall refer to the novel «Anna», as a successful example of God-seeking in the literature.
Let's return to peaches. What is the peaches?
… Here a piece of References, here is a drink of pseudo-political science, here is a page of fashionable philosophizing, here is the feuilleton, a landscape, a joke, a psychological sketch (to the best pages the description of the creative certificate in chapter XIV of the first part belongs), here is a stone thrown in the literary offender, a parody to the literary contemporary, an autoparody, an autocartoon, the summary off one`s own book, a piece from release of news and an advertising roller, the script of a computer game, a parable, a pray … Dmitry Bykov.
So Mr. Bykov represents peaches.That pulp which mister Bykov savours so much. But it is necessary to consider peaches only in connection with that tree with two bound trunks on which these peaches hang. I consider, peaches is everything, that, pushes the count «T» to searches. And simultaneously prevents from these searches.
For searching of the true universe – peaches are false ideas about a structure of the Universe. For searching the God – peaches are those disputable and false hypotheses about the God, those barriers which should be overcome by the count «T». Peaches is the world of the top circle filled with nasty. The world discrediting idea of Divinity. Peaches is that dirt that prevents cleanliness to open. That worthless lie that prevents the big truth be opened. Meetings not with those and not in the right place. Externally being extremely different, peaches are extremely similar by their connection with trunks. Meaning of their abundance in weight pulling trunks aspiring up to the ground to break them. Or to force them to raised still higher.
And now I again would like to argue with Dmitry Bykov. Dmitry assures, that «Pelevin is not the philosopher », «he isn`t able to sinthesize», and « the sense is not present in the novel». I approve: Pelevin is the philosopher. And he can sinthesize. And there is sense in the novel. And more... I am convinced, that «the remarkable destroyer of other philosophical systems» Victor Pelevin is deeply believing person.
And now we shall leave the novel «T» for a while. We shall visit the country professing polytheism In ancient Babylon.

The main holiday for inhabitants of ancient Babylon was New Year. It was a holiday of belief. In New Year days people gathered in temples. All together inhabitants of Ancient Babylon took part in continuing 12 days New Year's action. Basis of action was the Sacred Book - Enuma Elish. It was read by priests for 4 day of the holiday. In this the book it was told about how that was in «First Time». The world has been created. Gods are born. And then in «First Time» is Tiamat, or a Chaos. This Chaos threatens the existence of Gods. Young God Marduk has fought with Chaos. And - has won...
You may ask: what sense is in all this? I shall answer. The New Year's Holiday began with alarm. With approach of winter the order on the Earth weakened. That order which was symbolized for inhabitants of Babylon with solar beams warming the ground. What was the reason to that? The chaos has gained strength and has returned. He returned to people. Hidden in houses from November rains, babylonians felt approach of Chaos extremely, as the force menacing the existence of mankind. Extremely depending on agriculture, they believed with a fright, that the spring, and solar heat, and spring flood of Euphrates can never come back. Was there an opportunity of solving of the problem? Yes. To have the order stronger here, on the Earth, it was necessary to strengthen the order there, in «First Time». For this purpose on the fourth day of the holiday epos Enuma Elish was read. But it was insufficiently. To defend Chaos here, it was necessary to help Marduk to overcome Chaos there. And – the twelfth day of the New Year's holiday was devoted to struggle against Chaos. On the twelfth day at midnight in all temples of Babylon there was a dramatized action: struggle of the priest personifying Marduk with dark figure of Chaos. Here everybody empathized, and this huge spiritual message of deeply believing people was carried away to «First Time», helping Marduk, struggling with Chaos there. The ancient actor in the guise of a dragon escaped cowardly, - and this victory was supported by everybody, the victory of priest here meant also victory of Marduk there. In «First Time». And that victory - there - was enough to make that the Chaos – here. With triumph the Babylonians met the first day of New Year. They knew, that now would be good. The warmth will return. Euphrates and the Tiger with the arrival of spring would become deep again, promising a new crop and a new life. Till new autumn … If to take beliefs after Babylon … Gods changed. The course of creation of the world changed. The appearance of Chaos changed. But in the basis of all beliefs there was a main thing: the sacred book with «First Time» inside. There was an opportunity: empathizing a victory over Chaos - there – to help oneself in the struggle against their variant of Chaos – here. I make bold to declare: this, primary, sense is incorporated inevitably in any sacred book of any people. Moreover: in any ideal formation.
It seems to you to be far-fetched and, for certain, false? Let's imagine the schoolboy reading Hemingway story « the Old man and the Sea » in the train. This schoolboy has the problems not really solved at present. We shall tell, its the small Chaos: attacks from a stronger pupil, causing sneer small growth… But our schoolboy plunges in «First Time» of the Hemingway novel. «First Time», based on the primary order of the sea and movement of stars. There - the Old man also is God Marduk. And the greater fish is Chaos. Struggle of the old man against a fish in a the soul of our schoolboy, - and his soul is the same Temple, at also is struggle of Marduk against Chaos. Our schoolboy helps the old man in his struggle. with his soul. In fact there is victory in the story « the Old man and the sea». This victory over a seeming defeat remained with the force of the old man. The ancient actor in an guise of a dragon is doomed to escape. And the miracle happens: our schoolboy who has ideally helped the victory there, in «First Time» stories, has ideally solved also the problems at present. He is sure to hit back the offender. He – internally has already become taller. Not able to win really he by means of the victory of the old man has won ideally.
Yes. Religion is tried to be replaced by art. As for replacement – all is disputable, but the help to the person through art is not the worst variant. All we, poets and writers, artists, musicians are united in one: our purpose is to create the ideal reality to help people. The question is only in implementation or a failure of the variant «First Time». Also there is no alternative. In fact our readers need from our books, and paintings, and musical compositions the same, that was necessary for inhabitants of Ancient Babylon from epos Enuma Elish: read, see, believe, support by soul, and – all together – to win. I come back to Victor Pelevin's novel «T». Here is one of reviews:

And it is not petty topic at all. And the theme not so kitchen like. I consider, that in the novel «T» Victor Pelevin has created something equal to the epos Enuma Elish «First Time» of struggle against a primary evil.
What is the creation of the world here? The fabric of the novel created by Pelevin. First time for the first order. That order which is not present but which should be.
Who is God Marduk in this order of «First Time»? Count «T»? Or writer Victor Pelevin? I think, soul. Soul is the main character of the novel «T». The major symbol of soul are clouds:
« Children think the God lives in clouds. And it is the naked truth. And here it is interesting, whether clouds think? Likely, if they have ideas the ideas are, absolutely short. And about the God in themselves they precisely do not think, because it is necessary to know too many words for this purpose... » (The termination of the novel of Victor Pelevin «T»)
The soul struggles with Chaos. What is the Chaos in the novel «T»? It not characters of the novel. Chaos are the false philosophical concepts proving The soul its absence. The most terrible face of Chaos is a face of modern Russia. I tnink theme of Russia in Pelevin's novel «T» is one of the sickest for the writer. What is a victory here? Does it take place in the novel? Certainly, it does. The victory is inevitable here. Also it consists of two bound trunks. I shall name these trunks the culminations: The culmination the first and external … Or dynamic … It is penetration of the count «T» in the world of Ariel. It is fight on the top circle, and the victory. Evidently it is effective. But there is still the second and internal culmination. Or semantic … To understand this culmination, it is necessary to see mantis, creeping out on last page. I think, that mantis is the internal and semantic culmination of the novel. Mantis is a victory, turned out to be defeat. As well as defeat turned out to be victory. If to return to our trunks … Mantis sits on the top of a trunk of searches on the largest peach. Also he looks at nowhere. Or just there, where count «T» has directed. In the termination of the beginning of searches. Or in the beginning of the termination. In the fog of fogs behind which – hope of hopes, or the sun of the suns are... One is clear: the ancient actor in the appearance of a dragon has escaped. Victor Pelevin has helped our boy to solve his problems. And I would like to address all musicians and artists, writers and poets … I appeal everyone to create his own First time struggle against Chaos to help to oneself and all people. I call to struggle together with that evil that has grasped Russia. The evil that has made disgraceful people the authority of Russia. Impudently stealing everything that belongs to people. Cutting down blue spruces on opening dawn of the areas of memory. And, if you still doubt... Then read the novel «T» once again.
